Many months ago we spotted this guy, and his sons. Our first post was about them was in the how to not be a researcher category, as they had a near rescue event during a winter outing. Notice we use the term outing, expedition is overused and to us implies more that just a day or night hike. Anyways, we did acknowledge later that this guy seemed to be getting some work done, according to our mid-west contact he is doing real field work in prodigious amounts. When we checked the you-tube channel where he posts all his videos (in HD and unedited none the less), in stark contrast to others in the state who try to take money from content hungry ”Bigfoot Researchers” producing such things, it is evident he is out there often. And he is having success, according to our contact more than others in the midwest, unless someone is holding cards close to the vest and not sharing. The guy has recorded two sightings since the beginning of the year, the area he has selected is obviously fertile and walking more that 100 yards into the woods seems to be working for him.
The interesting part that makes this move from email and other conversations to the pages of The Bigfootery Enquirer is that this success and the amount of time and notoriety he is gathering has not gone unnoticed by the self proscribed alpha dog researcher in Ohio. Evidently a smear campaign is currently underway in the various halls of www.bigfootery, minions are being called upon to boycott and attack in various venues, someone is nervous. Now word reaches us that a videographer has spotlighted Tim, a website is up and there are rumors of public speeches, radio show appearances and all manner of publicity. We anticipate what is smoldering will ignite soon.
